Designed to enhance public participation in a more relaxed setting, Saanich’s first-ever town hall event took place at the Cedar Hill Golf Course clubhouse on Oct. 22.

Residents will have a chance to speak directly with Saanich mayor and council at an upcoming town hall meeting on Tuesday, May 6.

The event will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Hellenic Community Centre (4648 Elk Lake Dr.).

There is no set agenda, and attendees will be invited to raise topics of importance during an open mic session. Each speaker will be given up to three minutes.

This is the second council town hall hosted by the district, following the first held last October at Cedar Hill Golf Course

Residents can register to attend or speak by emailing council@saanich.ca or calling 250-475-5501. More information is available at saanich.ca.
