PHOTOS: IPE parade makes triumphant return in Armstrong

The parade, cancelled last year due to staffing shortages, snaked its way through Armstrong Saturday morning

The 123rd Interior Provincial Exhibition (IPE) saw the return of one of its signature events when the IPE parade snaked through downtown Armstrong Saturday morning, Aug. 31.

The parade was cancelled last year due to staffing shortages, but IPE general manager Heather King vowed that the parade would return in 2024.

And return it did.

A wide range of people and organizations took part in the parade, and the parade route was packed with spectators.

The parade showed signs of this year's IPE theme of Denim in the Dirt as participants made their way along Pleasant Valley Road, PV Boulevard and Okanagan Street starting at 10 a.m.

The IPE wraps up Sunday, Sept. 1. For more information on events going on, visit armstrongipe.com.
