Paving to temporarily close several roads in Kelowna

The work begins Tuesday, June 17, and runs to Wednesday, June 25, weather depending

As part of the City of Kelowna's road renewal program, three streets will be soon be temporarily closed.

Starting on Tuesday, June 17, Ambrosi Road (from 1851 Ambrosi to Springfield Road), Agassiz Road (from Ambrosi to Barlee Road), and Vasile Road (from 2142 Vasile to Harvey Avenue) will be closed for paving. 

The project is expected to be completed on Wednesday, June 25, however, it is weather-depending with a chance of rain in Kelowna later in the week.

Additionally, the roads will reopen for the weekend, starting at 4 p.m. on Friday, June 20, until Monday, June 23 at 7 a.m.

Access will be limited to residents and businesses of the area, stated the city. There will also be no on-street parking during construction hours.  

The city asks the public to abide by safety personnel instructions, posted construction signage and fencing to ensure everyone’s safety while commuting in the area.
