Man with knife allegedly confronts women in Vernon park

No injuries and suspect not found after fleeing Polson Park

Two women report being approached by a man with a knife in Polson Park late Friday night.

Vernon North Okanagan RCMP were called to an assault April 25 at approximately 11:35 p.m.

"An unknown man had approached two women in the park with a knife in his hand," said Cpl. Tania Finn, media relations officer. "The suspect, wearing black sweatpants, black hoodie and a fanny park, fled westbound from the park."

Despite numerous patrols conducted by police, the suspect was not located. 

Police drove both of the women to their residence and no injuries were reported to police. 

If anyone has any information regarding this incident, they are asked to contact the Vernon North Okanagan RCMP.
