Fun Night featuring student-made carnival games at Surrey school tonight

With 27 games, food trucks and more, the event kicks off this afternoon

An elementary school in Surrey is bringing back an old tradition, Fun Night, full of many games to play that have all been designed and built by the students themselves.

"It is a community-driven effort to bring families together," said Coyote Creek Elementary principal Larissa Hillen.

"Coyote Creek Students are reviving a beloved tradition of Fun Night after six years.  It will feature carnival games that were hand built by our grade seven students."

Going on tonight (May 9) from 3:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., the Fun Night is free to attend and is open to all in the community. The games will also be rounded out with food trucks to peruse, raffles to participate in, local vendors and more.

To play any of the games, patrons can purchase six games at $5, 15 games for $10 and those really keen can pay $25 for unlimited games all night.

In total, there are 27 student-built games on offer, with the money raised going towards the school's Grade 7 camp trip and leaving ceremony.
