This year's Reach for the Stars Gala will have a "Once Upon a Time" theme as the community comes together to raise funds in support of local children with extra needs.
Reach Child and Youth Development Society's 13th annual fundraiser will be held at Tsawwassen Springs on June 7 at 5:30 p.m., providing a heartfelt evening hosted by emcee Steve Darling where guests will hear from Reach families and enjoy a mingling appetizer and cocktail reception, three-course gourmet meal and live auction, and a dance floor featuring DJ Hot Wax.
The event's "Once Upon a Time" fairytale ball theme is an opportunity to focus on the positive and make a difference locally, according to an event press release.
Realco Properties returns as the event's major donor for a fourth consecutive year, and Beedie is back as the night's platinum sponsor for a third consecutive year.
“We rely on our generous community to come out and support Reach through sponsorships, ticket purchases, donations or anything they can manage. Together we can do our best to ensure that no child is left behind during these tougher times,” Reach events co-ordinator Tamara Veitch said in a press release.
Sponsorship and auction prize donation inquiries can be directed to tamarav@reachchild.org.
Early bird pricing is in effect until April 15, with single tickets going for $225 and tables for $2,200 at reachgala.com. Those who wish can also donate to the event online now, and there will be a public online silent auction launched before the gala as well.
