City of Chilliwack makes the remuneration information public every year, in accordance with Section 168 of the Community Charter, along with the Financial Information Act, which says municipalities are required to prepare an annual schedule that lists the remuneration and total amount of expense payments made or reimbursed to each council member for the discharge of duties of office.

The document mapping out mayor and councillors' pay is slated to be received by council at the June 18 council meeting.

Remuneration for all totalled $454,353 in 2023, with another $25,340 for expenses and mileage, the document shows.
