Fifty-one weeks to the day she was originally reported missing, a 62-year-old woman from Mackenzie has been found dead.
Mackenzie RCMP confirmed on Friday, July 11 that Alice Chingee was found dead. Her death is not suspicious.
Around the time of her disappearance, Chingee was dropped off south of Quesnel on Sales Road and planned to hitchhike to Vancouver, the Mackenzie RCMP stated in a May 2025 press release.
"The RCMP offers its condolences to the family and friends of the deceased."
