Calling all ghosts, goblins and scream-inducing ghouls: the Field of Screams is looking for actors to fill its haunted corn mazes at Historic O'Keefe Ranch this Halloween season.
Field of Screams is the North Okanagan's premier Halloween event, and it's back for an 11th year of spine-chilling excitement at the Spallumcheen ranch.
This year, the Field of Screams team is looking for actors aged 16 and older to fill roles in its four brand-new, immersive scare mazes.
The team is seeking actors of all experience levels to fill a variety of roles within the four mazes. Some of the roles available include a fearsome werewolf, a sinister executioner, a tormented spirit and a spectral pirate.
This year, there will be a structured audition process to ensure the best talent is selected for each role.
"We seek passionate, reliable individuals who can bring their character to life in a dynamic and high-energy environment," the Field of Screams team said in a press release.
Actors must be available for rehearsals as well as for the event dates. Flexibility and dedication are key for the high-demand event that requires teamwork and a positive attitude.
Compensation to actors is provided and will be discussed during the application process. Perks include behind-the-scenes access, being part of a creative team, and of course, the chance to scare thousands of guests.
Auditions will take place at 5 p.m. Sept. 8 at O'Keefe Ranch. Costume fitting will take place Sept. 14 and 15, tech rehearsal is on Sept. 21 and 22 and dress rehearsal takes place Sept. 26.
The dates for this year's Field of Screams are Sept. 27-29, Oct. 3-6, 9-13, 16-20, 23-27, 31 and Nov. 3.
