Miss Boots (Mlle Bottine) plays at the Salmar Classic Theatre at 5 p.m. on Saturday, May 10, 2025.

After the death of her grandmother, 11-year-old orphan girl Simone is forced to leave her farm home and her animals behind to go live in Montreal with her only relative – Uncle Philippe.

Simone brings along her best friend, a skunk named Bottine. Philippe is a one-time wonder composer but lacks inspiration for a new opera. The arrival of this niece, whom he had never previously met, completely turns his isolated and organized life upside down. Despite their diametrically opposed personalities, Philippe and Simone quickly discover that they may need each other more than they initially thought.

Directed by Yan Lanouette Turgeon, a Canadian film and television director from Quebec, Miss Boots (Mlle Bottine) will delight and entertain the whole family.  This heartwarming film is a wonderful remake of “Bach and Boot” and is not to be missed!

French, with subtitles, Miss Boots (Mlle Bottine) plays at the Salmar Classic Theatre at 5 p.m. on Saturday, May 10. Tickets are available at the door for $8 (cash only).
