To the Editor;

Things are a little different in 2021.

For starters, we will not see the usual door-to-door campaign, person-to-business, or our other friendly faces that volunteered at Buy-Low Foods.

Thank you to all the volunteers and those that donated in the past.

The kits our volunteers have used in the past have not been issued for this year. We now have no way to issue temporary receipts.

You may go directly to the Heart and Stroke website and donate online, you may give any amount and donate one-time, monthly, in memory or in honour.

Today, as I am writing this, Canadian Pacific will triple donations for a period of time! Please check it out as there may be other companies stepping up throughout February.

There are many ways we can still make a difference. You can volunteer and reach out to others and canvas on-line, learn CPR, or start a fundraiser. All the information to get started is at: heartandstroke.ca.

One of the very best things we can do for others, is take care of ourselves.

With that thought in mind, I wish you all to find joy in the many things that nature provides us. It is free, and your heart will find peace.

Thankfully yours.

Wendy Grimm,

Heart and Stroke coordinator
