Live music returns to waterfront with White Rocks Concerts at the Pier

Seaside summer festival features 5 free concerts

Live music makes its return to White Rock's waterfront this summer, with the city's 2025 Concerts at the Pier set to start on June 24.

Set against the picturesque seaside backdrop of White Rock’s classic sunsets, the free outdoor concert series will be held on five nights through June, July and August, a White Rock Business Improvement Association release said.

“Last year saw record attendance with over 34,000 attendees — and this year’s lineup may be the best yet!” said White Rock BIA executive director Alex Nixon said in the release.

“Featuring Juno-Nominated The Odds, fan-favourites Five Alarm Funk, and the transcendent, awe-inspiring experience of sGaanaGwa, we hope that everyone will come and find out what makes the Concerts at the Pier White Rock’s iconic summer festival.”

The free concerts all start at 7 p.m. with a local opening act, followed by the headliner at 8 p.m.

Concerts take place in Memorial Park and on East Beach in the parking lot of Grand Chief Bernard Robert Charles Memorial Plaza.

This year’s headliner lineup and locations are:

• June 24 at Grand Chief Bernard Robert Charles Memorial Plaza: The Odds

• July 10 at Miramar Village: Mostly Marley

• July 17 at Grand Chief Bernard Robert Charles Memorial Plaza: Simply Queen

• August 14 at Memorial Park: sGaanaGwa

• August 21 at Memorial Park: Five Alarm Funk
