Our hearts go out to the Filipino community and the families and friends of those impacted by the act of violence at the Lapu Lapu Festival.
Over a number of years we have been the recipients of much care from Filipino people working in the health-care system.
Their hard work, love of people and family and involvement in many aspects of community life are a blessing to those they encounter.
May their deep faith and support from the wider community bring them strength and comfort in the coming days.
