Homicide investigators have taken over the case of a missing 25-year-old man.

Navdeep Dhaliwal, 25 was last seen on April 29 and was reported missing to Surrey Police Service on April 30, 2025.

"He maintained regular contact with friends and family and therefore even this seemingly brief period without contact was highly unusual," read a Surrey Police Service press release.

Based on evidence obtained, the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) has conduct of the case as Dhaliwal's disappearance appears "suspicious in nature."

That said, Sgt. Freda Fong of IHIT said it's "important to not spread speculation or jump to conclusions at this time. Investigators remain in contact with Mr. Dhaliwal's family and continue to work tirelessly to get to the truth of what happened."

Police asked anyone with information to call the IHIT information line at 1-877-551-IHIT (4448) or by email at ihitinfo@rcmp-grc.gc.ca.
