The moment we’ve all been waiting for finally arrived! The North Thompson Fall Fair and
Rodeo! We had our 4H members make and ride on a wonderful float in the Fall Fair parade and everyone had a great time.
It was an absolute blast and all of our Yellowhead 4H members did their best to show off their projects! From beef to photography, everyone was stellar!
In 4H beef, for showmanship in their classes, Jeff Fennell won 1st place, Joy Rainer won
1st place, Bobby-Raye Farrow was 2nd, Clara Tremblay was 3rd, Grace Farrow was 4th, Logan
Jones was 5th, Owen Sim was 6th, and Sage Veninga for 6th. Bobby-Raye Farrow was the champion senior showman and Joy Rainer was the reserve champion senior showman. For the grand championship for showmanship, Bobby-Raye Farrow was the reserve grand 4H champion. In 4H cow and calf pairs, Logan Jones was the grand champion. In 4H Females,
Logan was the reserve grand champion. Great job everyone, congrats!
Then we have 4H sheep, where in senior showmanship, Tessa Salle placed 4th and
Clara Tremblay placed 5th. For junior showmanship, Maya Simard placed 5th, Alexis Amos placed 6th, Tomas Eastcott placed 7th, and Graham Jim also placed 7th. In the ewe lamb class,
Maya Simard placed 6th. For market lambs, Tessa Salle won 1st place, Graham Jim placed 3rd,
Tomas Eastcott placed 4th, Alexis Amos placed 5th, and Clara Tremblay placed 6th. Then
Tessa Salle moved onto the championship for market lambs and won 6th. Amazing job
Yellowhead sheep club! Our goat club did amazing as well! Ryenne Woods was the champion showman for seniors and was the champion for her project with Alexis Nelson being the reserve champion showman and reserve champion for her project. For juniors, Isabel Maddocks-Puetz was the champion showman!
Our photography club put out some amazing photos in the Exhibit Hall this year. In junior photography showmanship, Eva-Mae Ekins was our grand champion and Audrina Allen was our reserve grand champion. For junior unit work, Eva-Mae was our reserve champion with Audrina as our grand champion. In senior showmanship, Thomas Tremblay was our champion and
Niomi Cartwright was our reserve champion. The photography club also had a photo enlargement contest, Niomi Cartwright was the champion and Audrina Allen was the reserve champion. They also had a photo editing contest, Kate-Ann Ekins won 1st place and Eva-Mae
Ekins won 2nd place. Also located in the Exhibit Hall, we had some of our 4H member’s education displays. Eva-Mae Ekins won 1st place for her display on strokes and Alexis Nelson won 2nd place for her display on how to tell a horse’s age by its teeth. Congrats!
Our horse club was mostly in open classes. Alayah Maddocks-Puetz won 1st place in all of the PeeWee classes, as well as winning the PeeWee/Lead Line Gymkhana High Point.
Isabel Maddocks-Puetz won the Youth Walk/Jog Gymkhana High Point and the Western Youth
Walk/Jog High Point. Chloe Smith won the English and Western High Points for the Youth division, the overall High Point, and the 4H High Point. Good job!
And in our rabbit and cavy club, for senior showmanship, we had Isabella MacDougall as our grand champion and Caydence Ewert as our reserve grand champion. For intermediates,
Clara Tremblay won grand champion and Sophie Wright won reserve grand champion. For juniors, Sara Eastcott was grand champion and Olivia Fountain was the reserve grand champion. Warwick Osborne won grand champion for her Angora rabbit. Carson Puetz won grand champion for his doe and litter project. Then for our cavies, Willow Stefan won grand champion in senior cavy showmanship.
We are all so proud of our Yellowhead 4H Club and all the work they’ve put into their projects. Now we’re onto the next thing, the BC Ag Expo! Stay stellar Yellowhead!
