Valley Christmas Extravaganza - artisan shopping for the holidays

The Christmas Extravaganza was shopping central on Dec. 7 for hand crafted artisan treasures in the North Thompson Valley.

The Christmas Extravaganza Artisan Market, No-Host Bazaar and Christmas Craft Fair took place on Saturday Dec. 7 at the North Thompson Fall Fair Hall and Agriplex with over 40 vendors participating.

There was something for everyone looking to support local artisans and crafters selling their handcrafted art, knitting, sauces, spices, jellies, stained glass, woodwork, pet items, photography, coiled rope baskets, housewares, ornaments, iron work, jewellery and more.

Santa had a busy weekend in the North Thompson attending a number of events in the valley leading up to Christmas. The Barriere Lions made sure everyone had some delicious hot dogs and hot beverages as they strolled through the huge market area in the fairgrounds.

Kids were able to visit with Santa and drop off their letters to him while visiting the Extravaganza and wish him a Merry Christmas in person.
