Fierce community will be on display this Saturday to help a local business owner.
On July 12, Prince George's Primetime Wrestling is hosting a wrestling event to raise money for Danielle (Dannie) Caron, the owner for Quesnel business Creative Collections. The event is already sold out.
According to Primetime Wrestling, Caron is battling two different eosinophilic gastrointestinal diseases and is in need of a PEG stomach tube and private medical remedies.
Once they learned about Caron's battle, local wrestlers decided they wanted to do what they could to help out. The money raised from ticket sales will go directly to Caron to help to cover medical, travel and living expenses. Some of the wrestlers are also donating their appearance fees to Caron.
Some of the wrestlers entering the ring include local stars Rebel Knoxville and the Barlow Creek Butcher as well as and Mexican Lucha star Ciclon Ramirez Jr. makes his Primetime debut.
Over its three years in business, Primetime Wrestling has raised $29,000 for local non-profit and charitable causes. One of Primetime's referees is Caron's son, Brandon, or as he goes when a referee, "Fearless” Freddie Falcon.
The event is taking place at 7 p.m. at the Quesnel Seniors Centre.
