Ming Dynasty
Porcelain Vase
We all love art, beauty, and culture. In the North Thompson, we have a large amount of it. However, not all of it is necessarily domestic. In the past, we have brought many labourers from the Far East to work on developing our railroads. Although their conditions were terrible, and were treated as animals, with payment analogue to slavery, their sacrifice brought us the railroads we need. However, they did not come alone, and brought with them their culture, and with it, their cultural relics. One such relic we have at the North Thompson Museum & Archives, is a porcelain vase dating back to the Ming Dynasty of China.
