High school mural shows Barriere school spirit

This year Mr. Christian’s senior visual arts class at Barriere Secondary decided to spruce up the cafeteria with a brand-new mural representing local scenery, the Simpcw First Nation logo, and local wildlife found within the area. Artists contributing to the mural were Harmony Trommeshauser, Hunter Bloomfield, Connor Adair, Ruben Banzaru, Jesseca Leng, Leilani Celesta, Kenny Newton, and Jared Fortier.

“It has been an excellent learning opportunity for young artists and it has finally brought back some cougar spirit to the arts department,” says BSS Principal John Tyler, “A big thank you to the Lower North Thompson Community Forest Society who’s generous support made this project possible.”
