The Canadian Union of Public Employees, CUPE 900 executive board member, Ellen Monteith, presented a cheque on behalf the union in the amount of $200 to the Barriere Food Bank on Monday, Dec. 2.
"We are pleased to continue to support the Barriere Food Bank during the holiday season," said Monteith.
President of the Barriere Food Bank, Louise Peters, responded to the donation and said, “Members of the CUPE Local 900 made a generous donation to the Barriere and District Food Bank to support the mission of 'neighbours sharing food with neighbours.' This support will assist greatly in our holiday hamper program where we will provide a festive meal to approximately 120 households this season. Thanks!”
