Congratulations to Alexis Nelson on winning the Bronze medal at the Skills Canada competition. Alexis was recognized for her work in welding the St. Louis Gate castle. SD73 has written a story on Alexis’ accomplishment here.

Earlier this week several BSS students were recognized during the SD73 Aboriginal Education Graduation Ceremony. As well, last night I had the pleasure of attending the annual SImpcw graduation celebration, honouring graduates from Simpcw First Nation.

Next week there are a number of activities:

Monday, June 10  at 5:30pm is the final PAC meeting of the year.

Tuesday, June 11 is the annual Athletics’ Year End Social. The gym opens at 5 p.m. and the evening program begins at 5:30.

Wednesday, June 12 BSS will host the incoming grade 6 students for an official tour and school visit.

Friday, June 14 is the 2024 Graduation Commencement Ceremony. Graduates are required to attend an assembly at 9:00 am in the library, followed by the rehearsal. Grads need to arrive at the Curling Rink at 5:00 p.m. and the ceremony starts at 6:00 p.m.
