Barriere Legion Ladies Auxiliary popular meat pie sale a huge success

The annual Barriere Legion branch #242 Ladies Auxiliary meat pie sale sold out in record time with 580 pies sold

The Barriere Legion branch #242 Ladies Auxiliary team were hard at work on Friday and Saturday, March 28 and 29, creating 580 meat pies that sold out in record time. The annual pie sale profits support a variety of community groups in the area. 

"Our group yearly makes and sells delicious meat pies to the community and we use our proceeds to contribute to different groups and causes in the community and to help the Legion branch  #242 when needed," said Ladies Auxiliary president, Pam Casselman.

She added, "We made over 500 turkey and beef pies that were pre-ordered from residents and our auxiliary members had a very busy weekend! Thank you to everyone for supporting the annual pie sale."

The president also mentioned an upcoming Mother's Day dinner sponsored by the Ladies Auxiliary on May 10, and said, "We will be welcoming mother's to the annual Mother's Day Dinner along with family and friends - stay tuned!"
