Barriere and area residents are advised that the emergency department at Barriere Health Centre will be closed Friday, Aug. 6, due to limited staffing availability.
Patients requiring these services will be directed to alternate locations:
• Dr. Helmcken Memorial Hospital in Clearwater (640 Park Drive, RR#1), 24/7 emergency department services.
Interior Health reminds people that anyone requiring emergency care should call 911.
If you are unsure what services you need, please call 811 to speak to a registered nurse.
Barriere Health Centre will remain open for other services, including booked physician appointments.
Interior Health apologizes for this temporary interruption to normal services.
Normal emergency department hours in Barriere are Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
