The North Thompson Volunteer Center has announcing the lineup for The Big Barriere Block Party ll scheduled to take place on June 10 at the Barriere Bandshell in Fadear Park.
Jeremy and Chloe (Jeremy Kneeshaw and Chloé Beauchamp-Brisson) are a folk/rock duo out of Kamloops. These two youngsters have a bright future in the musical industry, so make sure you catch their show before they ascend to superstar status.
Bees and the Bare Bones are a duo out of Kamloops consisting of Madison Olds and Abbey Wale. They rose to fame last summer on the CMT network when they won the Chevy tailgate contest. They have since done two trips to Nashville and recorded a couple of singles. Abbey and Madison are another example of the amazing talent available from this region.
The headliner will be JayDee Bixby, an Alberta boy who came inches away from winning Canadian Idol 5. JayDee followed that up with three albums and a rigorous touring schedule before taking a break to raise his family. He is returning to the music scene in a big way and he is including Barriere in his nationwide classic country food drive tour.
The Big Barriere Block Party ll will be a by donation event with profits going to the North Thompson Volunteer and information Center.
A large farmers and artisans market will also be on site around the Bandshell with tables available at $10 dollars each, and free for non-profit groups.
