The North Thompson Museum and Archives now have sidewalks connecting the main building to the store, school room, trappers cabin, tool shed and livery stable thanks to a COVID Relief Grant from the District of Barriere.
“Thank you to the district for supporting this project,” said museum rep Lorene Fennell, “Thanks to the efforts of Mike and Edie Fennell who constructed the sidewalks (forms) and oversaw the whole project. However, when the cement truck came recruits were called in to man the wheelbarrow, floater, edgers, trowel and broom. Also,a huge thanks to Tom Fennell, Caleb Fennell, Norm Fennell, Brad Fennell, Jonathan Fennell, Jeff Fennell, Dan Armstrong, and Dan Archand for coming to help wheelbarrow, trowel, edge, and broom the cement. The sidewalks greatly improve accessibility to and from the buildings.”
